Painful periods should not be dismissed as “just part of being a girl.”
This Endometriosis Awareness Month, we are hosting a dedicated educational session to help young girls and families better understand menstrual health, puberty, and early signs that may need further support.
Early awareness builds confidence, reduces stigma, and empowers girls to understand their bodies.
About the Session
This free 60-minute session explores what a healthy menstrual cycle looks like and how to recognise when period pain may not be normal. It also discusses how food supports hormonal balance during puberty, important nutrients for growing teens, and ways to care for skin during this stage of development.
The session includes an educational presentation followed by an open Q&A in a supportive and respectful environment.
What You Will Learn
In this session, we will explore what a healthy period should look like, common signs of an unhealthy cycle, and when further support may be needed. We will also discuss how nutrition influences hormones, the key nutrients important for growing bodies, and practical ways to support skin health during puberty.
